WHAT WE DO

Everything you need to pass your fire inspection

One crew handles extinguishers, backflow, emergency lighting and training, so nothing slips between vendors and nothing surprises you on inspection day.

  • Halcon Fire technician scanning the inspection tag on a wall-mounted extinguisher

Yearly maintenance by licensed technicians, plus the monthly check your staff can do. Every unit gets a new tag and a line in your digital record.

    • Annual maintenance and new tag
    • Placement, signage and access check
    • Report for your inspector

    Every 12 months

  • Technician servicing red extinguisher cylinders in the shop

After any use, even a short burst, an extinguisher has to be recharged before it can protect you again. We refill, reseal and pressure check it.

    • Recharge after any discharge
    • Valve, seal and gauge repair
    • Six-year internal maintenance

    After every use

  • Halcon Fire technician running a hydrostatic test on the shop's test pump

Cylinders are pressure tested on a fixed schedule so they don't fail when you need them. We track the due dates and replace cylinders that don't pass.

    • CO2 and water units every 5 years
    • Dry chemical units every 12 years
    • Failed cylinders replaced

    Every 5 or 12 years

  • Staff member practicing with an extinguisher on a live fire during training

Hands-on sessions at your site: which extinguisher to grab, how to use it, and when to get out. Kitchen crews learn the pull station and Class K.

    • Live practice with the PASS method
    • Pull station and Class K for kitchens

  • Technician testing a fire line backflow preventer with a test kit (illustrative)

Miami-Dade Water and Sewer requires every backflow preventer to be tested by a certified tester when it's installed and every year after. We test it and give you the report.

    • Annual test by a certified tester
    • Test report for your water utility
    • Failed assemblies flagged for repair

    Every 12 months

  • Technician testing an exit sign and emergency light

Exit signs and emergency lights have to work when the power doesn't. The fire code calls for a quick test every month and a 90-minute battery test every year, on record.

    • Monthly 30-second function test
    • Annual 90-minute battery test
    • Batteries and lamps replaced

    Monthly · 90-minute test yearly

QUESTIONS

What customers ask us

Where does Halcon Fire work?

We're based in Miami and serve businesses across Florida, with most of our work in Miami-Dade County, the rest of South Florida (Broward and Palm Beach) and the Florida Keys, from Key Largo to Key West.

How often do fire extinguishers need inspection in Florida?

Florida's fire code adopts NFPA 10: a monthly visual check by your staff, a yearly maintenance inspection and tag by a licensed company, internal maintenance every six years for most dry chemical units, and a hydrostatic test every 12 years (every 5 for CO2 and water units).

Do you service food trucks and restaurant hood systems?

Yes. We service Class K and ABC extinguishers and inspect kitchen hood suppression systems every six months for food trucks and restaurants, at your commissary or before and after service.

What if an extinguisher or kitchen system goes off?

Call (786) 657-6107 any time. We offer 24/7 emergency service to recharge extinguishers and reset kitchen systems so you can reopen.

Do you give me records for the fire marshal or my insurer?

Yes. Every unit's location, type and service dates go into a digital record, and you get a report you can show your inspector, board or insurance carrier, plus reminders before anything comes due.
